🐾 The Heart Behind Shopsy Dropsy 

Welcome to Shopsy Dropsy — the electric bike shop where you'll find big hearts, helping hands, zero pushy salespeople and our Chief Zoom Officer, Dropsy, a blue schnauzer who insists fun is part of the job description. 

Having grown up on a Pennsylvania dairy farm with four sisters and two amazing parents, I learned early what really matters—hard work, integrity, and lending a hand when someone needs it. I also fell in love with animals somewhere between barn chores and belly rubs (still love 'em to this day!).

From there, life took me through the Air Force, two decades in engineering, and a handful of years in real estate—where we didn’t just close deals, we built real relationships. People trusted us, referred us, and kept coming back—not just because we knew our stuff, but because we cared.

And then—unexpectedly, 7-1/2 years ago, I moved back home to care for my then 89 year old mom.

Now I run this crazy cool electric bike shop with a small (but mighty!) team who share the same values and also love to have fun. I’ve always loved bike riding, but e-bikes? Game changer. I’ve spent years riding, loving and learning about them-and now we get to help others zoom into the fun too.

We're not just tied to one brand or one style-we fetch the best of the best from top manufacturers, all in one fun spot. That means more variety, more value and no showroom pressure.  We offer great prices, fast shipping and we're a team who cares.  No pressure, no techy talk (unless that's what you prefer), just helpful advice, good vibes and a furry mascot who keeps things fun.

At Shopsy Dropsy, we treat every customer like family.  We know our stuff.  We care about getting it right.  And we carry those lessons from the farm with us every day:  hard work, integrity and a whole lot of heart.

I didn't know this would be the next chapter but here we are. My mom’s now 96, facing some health challenges, but still living in her own home (with my help) and this business helps make that possible.  So, this has become something that fits this season of life perfectly; it's meaningful, honest and a whole lot of fun. With Dropsy napping by our side, I see this being our 'ride' for a super long time!💙
